This James Braid designed course is recognised as one of the finest public courses in the UK. The rolling parkland fairways and mature trees make a bonnie setting for golf. A true test to golfers, probably one of the reasons it is such a firm favourite with golfing tourists from around the world.

Seafield

Medal Tees Men 5481 yards SSS 67
Medal Tees Ladies 5019 yards SSS 69

Seafield lies alongside Belleisle, tighter fairways and smaller greens reward accuracy on this fine course.

An "Open and Honest" parkland course where the River Ayr and its tributary burns add interest to the early holes.

Troon Courses

The three courses of Lochgreen, Darley and Fullarton play alongside Royal Troon, Portland, Portland and Barassie to form a group of six courses that totally surround this famous golfing town.

Lochgreen

Medal Tees Men 6822 yards SSS 73
Medal Tees Ladies 6069 yards SSS 75

Lochgreen is the longest of our eight golf courses. A young Jack Nicklaus scored 78-66 here to qualify by one shot for the 1962 Open.

Darley

Medal Tees Men 6360 yards SSS 72
Medal Tees Ladies 5714 yards SSS 73

Darley is classic uplands links of gorse and heather, much tighter than Lochgreen and not for the faint hearted.

Fullarton

Medal Tees Men 6822 yards SSS 73
Medal Tees Ladies 5126 yards SSS 70

Fullarton makes up for it lack of length with tight fairways and well bunkered greens. A good course to learn golf skills.

Girvan

Medal Tees Men 5064 yards SSS 64
Medal Tees Ladies 4738 yards SSS 67

Another James Braid design, Girvan is certainly shorter than its near neighbour Turnberry. The first eight holes are classic links played along the shores of the Firth of Clyde with Ailsa Craig as a backdrop.

An 18 hole traditional links course established over 100 years ago, Irvine Bogside provides a challenge to all with its subtle changes in direction and no two holes the same.

Home to many championships over the years, the course has been a Final Open Championship Qualifying Course since 1989 and owes much of its present day character to the design work of James Braid in 1926.

The course demands accurate shot-making, after all, it has produced three Scottish Amateur Champions in Hammy McInally, Jimmy Walker and Jack Cannon who honed their skills here at Bogside.

The links fairways, built on sand, are divided by gorse and heather. Every hole has its own identity and the greens are fast and true. The neighbouring Gulf Stream ensures year round golf of the highest quality whilst the peaks of Arran produce a natural backdrop to complement the birdlife of the River Irvine and the Bogside Flats where wildlife abounds.

There is not a better test of golf than this par 71, SSS 73.
